Seperti Harry Potter yang diadaptasi dari Novel karya J. K. Rowling, The Lord of the Rings demikian diambil dari novel kisah karangan J. R. R. Tolkien.

Lalu, film apakah yang bisa menyaingi serunya dua film tersebut? Ada!! serial Twilight, film yang disari dari Novel karya Stephenie Meyer. Empat sekuel Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse dan Breaking Dawn saat ini sudah diluncurkan dan cukup menggaet animo kawula muda.

Namun sesuai data Internet Movie Database (IMDb.com), rating Twilight masih jauh untuk menyaingi Harry Potter dan The Lord Of The Rings. Twilight (5,3), New Moon (4,5), Eclipse (4,8) dan Breaking Dawn – Part 1 (4,7). Harapan serial ini untuk bisa menyaingi rating dua pendahulunya, ada pada Breaking Dawn – Part 2, yang rencananya akan diluncurkan pertengahan tahun ini.

Meski belum direlease, ticket film ini sudah terjual banyak di Fandago. Film ini mengisahkan remaja bernama Katnies Everdeen yang hidup dimasa pasca ‘kiamat’ di Bumi.

Sejumlah aktor berbakat dipilih untuk memperkuat film ini. Sebut saja Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Wes Bentley, Toby Jones, Amandla Stenberg, Alexander Ludwig, Isabelle Fuhrman, Jacqueline Emerson, Paula Malcomson, Dayo Okeniyi, Jack Quaid, Leven Rambin, dan Willow Shields.
