BALIK PULAU – Majlis persandingan satu pasangan pengantin di Dewan Majlis Perbandaran Pulau Pinang (MPPP), Teluk Bahang hilang kemeriahan dan bertukar kecoh apabila lauk-pauk yang disajikan didakwa telah basi dan berbau busuk manakala nasinya pula mentah.
Kejadian itu menyebabkan lebih 1,000 jemputan yang menghadiri majlis perkahwinan pasangan Nazurah Romai, 21 dan suaminya, Nazli Che Amat, 22, kakitangan sebuah syarikat swasta, terpaksa pulang dengan perut kosong.
Hidangan itu ditempah menerusi pakej sebuah syarikat perancang perkahwinan yang mengenakan bayaran RM17,000 untuk sajian, sepasang persalinan untuk majlis akad nikah, pelamin, fotografi dan cenderamata dan pasangan itu telah menjelaskan bayaran sebanyak RM14,000 kepada syarikat berkenaan.
